CORONAVIRUS UPDATE

FOR AIRNORTH CUSTOMERS

At Airnorth, the safety of our customers and staff is our priority. We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and to comply with directives as advised by the World Health Organisation, Centre for Coronavirus Disease Control, the Australian Government Department of Health and aviation industry authorities.

Airnorth is currently operating most services as normal, however this is subject to change at anytime.

For more information on Government imposed restrictions and regulations, please click on the desired region below.

Please note: to support recent government restrictions for travel into the communities, our web check-in service has been suspended. Check-in service will only be available in person once you arrive at the airport.

We recommend that you keep up to date with the latest travel advice issued by Smartraveller,

Australian Border Force or the Australian Government.

INTERNATIONAL GOVERNMENT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS AND ALERTS

DOMESTIC GOVERNMENT TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS AND ALERTS

Some Australian states and territories have measures in place in response to Coronavirus that may impact your interstate travel.

Check the latest Government travel restrictions, which may include mandatory entry permits, pre-approval and quarantine (possibly at your own expense), or you could be denied entry.

BOOKING CHANGES AND CREDITS

Airnorth has introduced a series of interim changes to fare conditions in light of the Federal Government travel restrictions to prevent the spread of Coronavirus announced on March 15, 2020.

All change fees applicable for travel between 16 March to 31 October 2020 will be waived for customers already holding existing bookings, or for any bookings made now until 31 October 2020.

Customers who wish to cancel their bookings will be able to do so with the value retained in credit.

Flights can be rebooked but if the new fare is higher, a fare difference must be paid.

Customers wishing to amend their bookings are recommended to use the original booking channel, whether this be the Airnorth website or reservations call centre, or a domestic travel agency. The above changes apply ONLY to bookings made on Airnorth (TL 935) or Hahn Air (HR 169) ticket stock. Customers who may have made bookings for Airnorth flights under a Qantas codeshare flight number are reminded that Qantas fare conditions will apply and are advised to contact the travel agent at which the booking was made or Qantas directly.

Due to high demand, we're experiencing long call wait times. We’re currently working through the most urgent travel dates. We strongly encourage our customers to make or change their bookings via our website or through your favourite travel agent.

WHAT ARE AIRNORTH DOING IN RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS?

To date Airnorth has not carried any persons who have had the Coronavirus.

To minimise risk, Airnorth has undertaken significant measures to ensure your journey with us is safe and enjoyable. Many guests have raised concerns about the risk of contracting the Coronavirus while travelling on flights.

Our regular cleaning and maintenance procedures have been amended to include a disinfect process with a unique antimicrobial technology that actively protects our treated hard and soft surfaces for up to 100 days.

All of our aircraft have been fitted with a Universal Precaution Kit in addition to the biohazard kit which include gloves, hand sanitiser and face masks to keep our customers and crew safe if in the event of a suspected case during flight.

Airnorth are working with Australian and Timor-Leste Government officials in screening customers travelling on international services between Australia and Timor-Leste.

Airnorth recommend that before travelling overseas you visit smartraveller.gov.au for the most up to date advice to help avoid those difficult situations.
